The active substance of GLAUMAX is Latanoprost (Latanoprostum). Latanoprost is similar to the prostaglandin F2α naturally produced in the body. It regulates the flow of fluid within the eye and lowers high intraocular pressure. Lowering high pressure inside helps to prevent blindness.

A prostaglandin based medicinal product that is used in case of critical limb ischemia of stage III and IV if revascularization procedures or operations are not indicated because of diffuse distribution of lesions. It is also effective in combination with revascularization procedures and in operations at the time of the surgery as well as in post-operative period. In addition, it is prescribed in case of serious Raynaud’s syndrome with ischemic lesions.
The active substance of VASOSTENOON is Alprostadil. Alprostadil (prostaglandin E1, PGE1) is a natural metabolite of dihomo-g-linolenic acid, which is present in most mammalian cells. By systemic administration Alprostadil causes relaxation of smooth muscle fibers, exerts vasodilating effect and lowers blood pressure. Also a reflex increase in cardiac output and heart rate was noted, improved rheological properties of blood with increased elasticity of red blood cells and reduced platelet aggregation. Alprostadil has a stimulating effect on smooth muscles of intestines, bladder, uterus, suppresses gastric acid secretion.
